Award Category Criteria

Judges will be looking for individuals, teams or organisations that demonstrate leadership in developing or implementing AI responsibly, balancing innovation with governance, ethics and measurable impact.

Judges will be looking for:

Responsible AI leadership

Evidence of championing responsible AI practices through leadership, governance or organisational strategy that promotes trust, accountability and ethical decision-making.

Governance and risk management

Demonstrated implementation of policies, frameworks or processes that address AI governance, compliance, privacy, security, bias mitigation and risk management.

Transparency and accountability:

Evidence of promoting explainable, transparent and accountable AI systems that build confidence among customers, employees and stakeholders.

Innovation with integrity

Successful use of AI to deliver measurable business, customer or societal outcomes while ensuring responsible design, development and deployment.

Education and advocacy

A commitment to increasing awareness, knowledge or capability around responsible AI through training, thought leadership, collaboration or community engagement.

Lasting impact

Evidence that responsible AI practices have become embedded within the organisation or have positively influenced customers, partners or the wider technology ecosystem.

Successful nominations should

  • Explain the AI challenge, opportunity or initiative the nomination relates to.
  • Describe the governance, ethical principles or responsible AI frameworks that were implemented.
  • Demonstrate measurable outcomes, such as improved trust, reduced risk, stronger compliance, better decision-making or increased AI adoption.
  • Include evidence of how fairness, transparency, privacy, security or accountability were incorporated throughout the AI lifecycle.
  • Highlight how the initiative has influenced organisational culture, customer confidence or the wider technology community.
