The Rising Star of the Year award celebrates an early-career individual who has demonstrated exceptional skill, drive and leadership potential, recognising fresh and emerging talent in tech.

Criteria

Judges will be looking for an individual in the early stages of their tech career who has shown outstanding capability, curiosity and potential for future leadership. This award is open to nominees who have not previously been shortlisted or won this category, ensuring recognition is given to new and emerging talent. Nominees must be actively working in the tech sector and have made a notable contribution to their team, organisation or community.

Successful nominations should:

Demonstrate impact on projects or teams beyond what is expected at their experience level
Provide evidence of rapid learning, upskilling or innovation
Show positive influence on peers, workplace culture or the wider community
Indicate clear potential for long-term career success and future leadership
