Meet the Winners – Credera

The trophies have been given out, toasts have been made and the canapés have been eaten. After four fantastic global events recognizing the work of organizations and individuals across the cloud industry, the Digital Revolution Awards 2023 season has come to a close.

Throughout the Digital Revolution Awards 2023 events, we saw many outstanding winners take the stage, receiving a round of applause for making a positive impact on our world through cloud technology.

Now it’s time to shine a spotlight on some of those worthy victors and showcase the fantastic work that made them winners in the Digital Revolution Awards.

In this Meet the Winners blog, we’re getting to know the winner of our Best AWS Partner to Work For award, Credera.

When crowning the winner of our Best AWS Partner to Work For award, we were searching for the most well-rounded AWS partner that ticked all the boxes when it comes to creating a brilliant place to work and a great employee brand.

The winner of this year’s Best AWS Partner to Work For award is an organization that’s leading the way in the AWS community on multiple fronts. Step forward Credera!

Credera’s focus on professional development and supporting employees has led to team members earning over 250 AWS certifications. This support is not only adding skills to the ecosystem but also creating engaged, high-achieving professionals who will do great work for AWS users for years to come.

As a result, the company has grown by 80% in the last 18 months and earned a retention rate of 82%. As well as investing in its employees’ futures, Credera is also putting in the work to make sure that AWS professionals from all backgrounds can thrive within their organization and in the industry at large.

An Advanced AWS Consulting Partner since 2014, and a Premier Tier partner since 2023, Credera is fiercely proud of its people and all the talent it has managed to recruit and retain.

Faced with a challenging hiring landscape, the company sees its talent acquisition success as a result of its years-long work to make Credera the best place for a career in Technology Consulting—and especially AWS.

Credera’s efforts in the Diversity and Inclusion space have already earned recognition from organizations like Great Place to Work, which bestowed the company with its Outstanding Diversity Network of the Year award, and the Women in Tech Awards.

One particularly impactful scheme has been its active CredAbility group, which focuses on adapting and improving the company’s working practices to make them more accessible to and inclusive of both clients and employees with disabilities.

This awareness of inclusion issues and dedication to driving change also applies to other areas of EDI practice at Credera. The company recently piloted new client inclusion workshops to develop and agree on best working practices for individuals on the team who may need additional support. Covering everything from cultural awareness and accessibility, to team inclusion and wellbeing, these sessions have been crucial to helping Credera meet its ambitious EDI and wellbeing targets.

Though due to its current size, Credera is not obligated to publish an EDI report, it sees this task as an important act of transparency and is committed to showcasing its progress and its plans to improve.

AWS consultants, actively supporting its employees to build experience and providing formal training to help them earn industry-recognized certifications.

This championing of lifelong learning is clearly paying off for the company, given the wide range of AWS competencies it’s able to offer on the back of its deep expertise. Credera consultants are also a regular fixture at AWS learning events like the Well-Architected, Public Sector, and Immersion Day programs.

Our judges noted that despite its impressive growth rate, Credera is keeping its people at the heart of everything it does, and at the core of its stand-out culture. The company was also commended for its highly proactive approach to fostering diversity and inclusion within its ranks.

“Oh it’s incredible,” said Managing Director and Cloud Practice Lead, James Breeze, when we caught him leaving the Digital Revolution Awards stage with the company’s brand-new trophy. “It’s fantastic. I was a little bit nervous sat there waiting, but to win is brilliant.

“We’re really proud as an organization generally about being a great place to work and it’s just good to see so much hype about the industry and the things we do every day. And take a step back and applaud it.”
